A LOT HAS HAPPENED THIS MONTH.
Wow, January has been crazy.
DAVE GOT INTO DENTAL SCHOOL! We are going to Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (MOSDOH) at AT STILL University.  Dave went for an interview like Jan 5. They told him at the interview that they will be calling the following week to let people know that they are accepted.  Dave had 3 interviews total and said this was his BEST one!  HE felt really good about the interview, the people focused the whole time on his ethics and virtues.  They didn't even mention his low DAT score once.  That was such a blessing.  Then they put him into a room with the whole group that was there to interview and gave them a problem and told them to figure it out.  Dave had a friend that applied for dental school 2 years agoe and told Dave if they do that problem solving exercise, they are looking for leadership skills and the ability to work well in a group.  So Dave (knowing what he needed to do to gain favor) jumped up and started reading the paper, then went to the white board and starting writing bullets that people were talking about.  He really took charge of the group. :).  So anyway, fast forward one week, the day that they said they would call to give acceptances. We had been in Havasu for about a week, but were leaving that night to go to Thatcher for Jared's Farewell.  5 PM hits and we still haven't heard from the school.  We had pits in our stomach thinking we did not get in. We were wanting to stop by an apple store in PHX, and since my phone was broken,I called Brooke on Dave's phone to give us directions.  All of a sudden the phone beeps and I see an incoming call from an out of state area code.  I start freaking out and say "HOLD ON BROOOOKE!". I switch over and then we lose service.  That area (right outside of Havasu) is the WORST Cell Service! Once we had service again, I try calling back and an AT Still answering service answers. I squealed a little knowing it WAS AT STILL UNIVERSITY that called.  Then 5 min later they called again and Dave pulled over.  They said "We were very impressed by your interview and are excited to work with you.  Will you accept our invitation to attend our school?  Dave SAYS "WHAT?! YES!" I started crying and Dave and I were so happy.  We pulled over and said thank you prayers to Heavenly Father. We squealed so loud that we made Oliver start to cry.  He would've squealed too if he understood why!

Later that month, Dave received another call from West Virginia Dental School saying that he was accepted as well!  WHAT?  Accepted to TWO schools!  We are Crazy Blessed.  We already decided that we wanted to go to MOSDOH.  Dave felt REALLY good about that school.  We credit everything to our Heavenly Father and know that he had a hand in our acceptance.  We are grateful beyond belief.
